The Companions to Slavic Literature series features accessible volumes designed to introduce and inform the reading of literature from Slavic countries and languages beyond the borders of Russia. Volumes will include anthologies and introductions to translated literature as well as companion editions to well-known authors and works.
Companion volumes will be written by scholars with recognized expertise on the subject, and will provide information for a general audience that is essential to understanding the text in its cultural and historical context. Each volume will also illuminate the most important interpretive issues and include an essential bibliography for further study. An ASP title that serves as a model for this series is Zenithism (1921–1927): A Yugoslav Avant-Garde Anthology.
